Why not use a view of your data for any sorted version you need. The hit in performance when you save, to call the data, sort it, generate a new table, save the data, remove the old table from the dbc, replace the old table with the new one and reconnect it to the dbc is not worth it in my opinion. Just use SQL.

John, your response would have been more appropriate if aimed at the originator of the thread (Benoit Grenier) - not those that are attempting to offer help. For what it is worth, I agree with you - it seems like a lot of hard work, where none would seem to be essential. But then again, we do not know the whole background that motivated Benoit to post the initial request. You also don't help by using phrases like "why do you" instead of "why would one".
