You guys have it exactly, we're looking for an entire mouse-pointer scheme reset, like the one in control panel, but that can be done programmatically, like the SET COLOR reset that you mention. This needs to be able to capture and reset user-defined cursors too, like animated, etc. I'm unable to do this with the current win32api functions (at least the ones I've tried)...anyway thanks for your input, and pleases let us know if you come up with anything...

I'll take a look at Vladimir's Sysinfo class, too...
