>From what I heard, there is a definite problem. I caught the tail end of it, and don't know the exact numbers, but it was something like this: in an area known for Buchanan supporters, there was "300" votes for him. In the area in question, which is supposed to be a big democrat area there was "5000" votes for Buchannan.

The politicians on both sides are making very predictable (read self serving) comments regarding this.

I caught the tail end of a conversation on one of the Morning News shows about this. The Democrat (Congressman Wexler - I think) was obviously incensed about this. He stated that Buchannan's sister had said that there was no way he could have received that many votes. The Republican (I didn't catch her name) thought that it was quite likely that the vote tally was accurate. She pointed out that Perot had received 30,000 votes in that county last election.

What will be fascinating to me is what will happen if the recount winds up favoring Gore. The chiropracters will be doing a landslide business from all the politicians doing 180 degree turns in the nanoseconds after the results are formally announced.
