In any case, I think we will see what kind of men Bush and Gore really are!
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I will add this, though: they are both in very tough positions:

-- If Bush keeps acting like a winner, he will be seen as a bit arrogant about it, especially if ultimately he loses; but, transitions take time -- you can't expect the man to wait two months before naming a transition team!

-- On the other hand, if Gore keeps pushing, he will be seen as a litigious whiner, especially if he loses; but, you can't blame him for wanting the legal circumstances to take their course, especially given his win in the popular vote.

Either guy could decided to rise "above the fray" and "be the better man" and "act in the interests of the country" by giving up. But, both men honestly believe that they have a better approach to the interests of the country than their opponenet, so I am sure that both, in purely patriotic terms (aside from personal ones) wants to be president.

Of course, I have my own opinions on both men, but I am trying hard to keep in mind how rough a position they are both in.....
The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts. - Bertrand Russell
