I remember seeing that mentioned on one of my "Birthday Times", so 1971. (For those who don't know, BT is one of those papers that tell significant stuff about the day you were born)

>I'll take you on specifically on this one. If you're able to serve in the armed forces for our country, you should be able to have a voice. This would mean a minimum age of 18. It wasn't so long ago (late 60s, early 70s) when you could be drafted and sent off to war without any say about it.
