Erik;
>What's this obsession with state lines? Is a citizen of Nevada really that different than a citizen of California? This should not be a contest between states, but between people. I really don't understand why state lines muddy the issue for so many people.
Having lived in California and Nevada I will not comment on any differences that may exist between the citizens of those two states. However, your point is well taken and I must agree. What happend to the concept of One Man-One Vote? If this were truly "The United States of America", we would be voting at a Federal level. However, we have 50 states joined in a union and each of those states has rights granted by the Federal Government in most cases as well as individual state laws.
If nothing else this election has allowed a greater awareness and interest than any other election I can recall.
