I agree, syntax coloring is very helpful and giving it up is a drawback. And I'm sure you're not getting older... I know I'm not <g>

I should add that what prompted me to look for another way to do comments in the first place was a wish that all the Visual Studio languages behaved the same, and of the three (VB, VC++, and VFP) I tended to like some things about the VC++ syntax best. Admittedly, the */ thing I came up with in VFP is a kludge, but I thought it might be interesting to somebody, or perhaps somebody else had a better idea.
