Yes, the subject of this one got expanded. But for good reason.
So you have yer boxen up and running. It's running Apache, Samba, Sendmail, BIND (DNS)... The list goes on and on. You want to configure everything, but you don't really want to learn the depths of the Sendmail.cf file, and for good reason; this boxen is for your use alone, or just for your small business. Why spend hours learning how to secure and fine tune Sendmail??
Configuration for the beginner user can be a nightmare, especially when you are used to working in Windoze.
Enter Webmin (
www.webmin.com).
Webmin is a web-based administration tool written in perl. It uses it's own "web server", SSL (with Net::SSLeay installed), and has an auth system.
Webmin uses individual modules to configure different programs. That way, if you don't have a certain app installed or don't want to use Webmin's module for it, just remove it. There are also 3rd party modules and instructions for writing your own custom modules.
This is a very powerful tool.
Post your Q's and C's...

PS - I still recommend editing your smb.conf by hand. Most 3rd party config tools just screw up or add redundant entries to your existing smb.conf.
