>I have a small network of Win98 PCs on a WinNT server LAN. The logon seems to take a long time (30-60 seconds). In fact, anything that requests a "browse list" is very slow on any of the machines. For example, the "net view" command is very slow responding. On occasion, the logon or browse list comes back very quick but usually not. What could be the problem?

What protocol are you using, and what priorities have been assigned to the server as far as memory and CPU priority? What is the NT Server configuration? And what runs on the server besides acting as PDC?
