Tamar,

Here's an idea.. Vote electronically and spit out two receipts; one for the voter and one to turn in. Get as long as you like in the booth and once you confirm (2-3 times?) and make your vote permanant you're done. You then have a receipt and so do the local officials. Any questions and you can compare the papers. Problems equal immediate and automatic non-count until resolved.
