What do you mean, you don't view me with adulation?! I'll sulk!
Seriously, I come here to learn stuff, not to try to be clever. I find it hard to learn when bandwidth is cluttered with dogma supported by aggression rather than relevant experience or fact. That is actually counterproductive- few of us have Galileo's bravery, we are not willing to risk flames (literally) by disagreeing that the world is the centre of the universe or some other "fact" that the "mighty" have declared to be true. As a result, those with valid alternative viewpoints may be hesitant to speak. This form of bullying is rarely seen in "real life" adult situations these days because we do not tolerate it, but some seem to think it is appropriate in on-line forums. Nope.

"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
