Actually, I thought of doing the 'kill it every x number of files' idea and tried it. I'm no stranger to quick and dirty solutions <g> I traded one error in for another, though. Still locks the client, just no error msg. I have not tried to get latest SR for Excel though, and I will try it. Thanks
