Well, fortunately, or unfortunately (depending on your outlook), ever since I had to combine Birth/Death file processing from BVS with the Immunization System data files, I've always had century set on and the fields on the screens scoped large enough for the 4 digits. (Yes, we were giving flu shots to people 90-100 years old.) So I guess that kind of date manipulation has almost become second nature to me.
