I have to say something here: I'm pretty sure VFE and MM were both born out of codebook. I don't have VFE experience, but I have several years experience with MM. Over the years I've seen the framework go through several iterations (some better than others). [bg] The one thing I can say about MM, it is very well thought out. Almost Every class in the framework can be substituted using the abstract factory, giving you a lot of flexibility. The framework is fast--largely because the code is deceptively simple. It's simplicity gives it a certain elegance that could only be achieve through a thorough uderstanding of Object Oriented programming and its practical implementation.

The documentation is just as amazing. It is logically organized and thorough, but it can be used as a primer for explaing objected oriented techniques and n-tier application development. In fact, I have used several pieces of the manual for training other developers.

The framework is also stable. Kevin McNeish, the framework's developer, thoroughly tests every component before putting it into the production version. It is very unusual I'd have an application problem caused by the framework. I can honestly say working with the framework jump started me into object oriented programming quickly, and as result, I feel I am a much better programmer.

Hope this didn't soud too mcuh like a plug, but it is how I honestly feel.
