Yes, there's an MSKB article on this. Some people in my agency just had this problem, there is no great fix for it:

1) Move to vfp.
2) Run app on slower machines.
3) Adjust CMOS (but that may affect other software).
4) Change code in 2.6 app (this may not help, though).

Our people chose to upgrade to vfp (rightly, I think). They did a conversion without redoing the app (for now), and it seems to be working fine...
