Ken, I think that CNN, MSNBC, etc. are really wishy-washy pro-corporate centrists. They have their right and left elements, but neither in extremes.

Could you please give some examples of these 100x more to the left news shows that you mentioned? I'm just very curious because I never seem to see any hosts or news anchors on TV who are as left as Limbaugh is right.

For example, CNN's Capital Gang:

Mark Shields - took (takes?) checks from Lockheed Martin to appear as a regular panelist on local radio talkshow in Washington, D.C. (Washington City Paper, 8/4/95). I thought the left was supposed to be against military spending?

Al Hunt - In a January 15, 1998 WSJ article he praised Reagan for breaking the air traffic controllers strike. I though the left was pro-union?

Robert Novak - I think its pretty obvious he is right leaning but I'll get some quotes if you want them.

Margaret Carlson - "During a tryout, to represent the left on Crossfire (11/14/98), Carlson couldn't even bring herself to say the word--so Robert Novak "from the right" was balanced with Margaret Carlson "from Washington.""

Kate O'Beirne - She is from the Heritage Foundation, a right wing think tank.

So it appears that the Capital Gang is more right than left. But this is just one show, so I'm sure most of the others go the other way, right?
