Yes,

You can remove every button you want from the toolbar.
Right-Click on the toolbar.
choose edit
The go to the TAB commands in the window that pops up.
You now can select the Save button, and move it to the toolbar.

Also try to right-click on a button in the toolbar when in toolbar editing mode, so you can see what's possible.
