The issue is not with a popular vs. an Electoral vote. The issue is with flawed technology. Finally, there will be a blue-ribbon commission to have a STANDARD and AUTOMATED way of voting.

Finally somebody else realizes this. I have asked so many times why a state can count the votes and the recount them getting a different number. And this not being a small number either. I am working and have work with the election offices here in Nevada and these things never cease to amaze me. For the Primary election in 2000 with the files they send to anyone that buys them you get one set of numbers. On there web site is another set of numbers and when you call them they tell you a third set of numbers. It seems that even with the electronic voting machines here they somehow still manage to have problems counting and/or adding.
