Dells service is second to none. (I buy about 6 dells every month for my office) and have one at home, that I work with. its two years old. The monitor broke, (my monkey pee'd on it) called dell, had a new one at my house in 2 days.

My son, however, had to do the build it himself thing, had to get a better graphics card, had to get better sound... Basically wanted the best gaming machine that he could afford.... So long story, after reading all the put together manuals, and putting one together himself.. (two motherboards, and three processors later) he had a working machine for .. drumm roll !!! 3 months before the system just crashed... won't even boot. My Dell, and my office dells... working just fine. His $2000, machine with 30 gigs, of hardware is just a footstool until he figures out a way to spend another few hundred for (his words) whow knows.. new processor, new motherboard.. new ram... he's lost... Says every day.. Dad.. I should have bought a dell. at least it would work..

p.s. if you want to have a system put together, Do the local store thing.. if you trust them,... and they carry all the parts ... and warantee all the parts... But dont... ever buy stuff from the net, put it together and expect it to work..... unless you really know hardware.

www.r-tech.com ... These guys I have known for 10 years... and wont put something together, withougt knowing it....
