I don't need X. All I need is a Mail Server/Internet Gateway. Nothing fancy. Anything surplus to requirements will not be installed.

Low cost solutions are great because they are low cost *g*

Admittedly I could get a pretty cheap Celeron 300 with 64 MB RAM and 8 GB storage but this would still cost me a few hundred pounds. The 486 cost me £30. As its only purpose in life is to be a gateway/mail server, its performance should be adequate.

PS I picked up the PC this evening and - guess what? I got 16MB RAM, not 12! W00hooooooo! *g*
