Hi Ed, Still can't get this. I have Photoshop installed along with another jpg image editing program, and I still get an error message when appending a jpg to a general field:

append general picture from id256.jpg

Gives the following error message:

Ole error code 0x80010007: The callee (server [not server application]) is not available and disappeared; all connections are invalid. The call may have executed.

Any ideas? Thanks.
