I am sure everyone has a view point on the topic of election ballots. Last night on ABC News, a Texas Legislator, Rick Green (Republican) was interviewed. The topic was his win two years ago when he asked for a recount of ballots. The contest was close and so a recount was accomplished. Mr. Green held up a paper ballot of the type that is punched and stated he had learned all the terms defining types of ballot punches, and it was due to the hand count he won his election. There was no mention of "paper marked ballots". There must be some truth to the story and Mr. Green said one of the reasons GWB recently signed a law allowing "recounting ballots" was due to his experience.
