Thanks for trying. I did try your suggestion AllowUpdate, but it still fails to update anyting in the grid. BTW, I also tried this with a VFP Database Table and the results are the same--no updates in the Grid. My next step is to try it with MSDE to see I can at least update some data in the grid.

I got the MS Data Grid working but I need to remove trailing spaces manually whenever I edit text, as in hitting the delete key or else it generates an error, I haven't found a programmatic way to do it. Let me know if you run into this.
