If I just landed on Earth and read the recent posts on the UT, I would think Republicans walked on water. The Republicans are so great I just do not understand why they have to spend so much time and effort to campaign for elected office.

"Read my lips". So we forgive Republicans when they increase taxes after saying they will not. Otherwise, Republicans have never made a mistake. Perhaps we could not read the lips of President Bush when he made that comment.

What about the Savings and Loan scandal? Who was the President of the committee who headed Deregulation of the Savings and Loan Institution’s appointed by then President Reegan? Vice President Bush for those who forgot. We will be paying back that debt for many years not to mention the many lives ruined by the act of deregulation. Who did not admit or do anything about the unemployment from 1989 through 1992? I will not mention his name

Look at the fine last 8 years this country has enjoyed with a Republican majority in the House and Senate! The "First Hundred Days", such a wonderful event.

Let's face it some politicians are good and others are not. Neither party has a majority of good or evil. Without power you cannot lead.

Oh well, the weekend is getting closer and with luck we can turn off the media and just wait for the results.
