That would work in the "outgoing" direction, but unfortunately not for the incoming. I went back and separated my pipes with a single space because of Tom Gahagan's comment that the delimiting character was sometimes "|", or "||" or even "|||" and this could be causing a problem. Changing it, unfortunately didn't fix the problem. I think I may have to go with low level, dangit.
