I have a MS Works file I need to import to a database. Excel doesn't recognize it as works, and when I try to IMPORT a type WKS, I'm told it's not a valid 1-2-3 format. I'm guessing that this is a new version of Works that Excel can't read. Any ideas on how I can convert it to anything else without having a copy of Works? It's for some pro-bono work I'm doing, and unfortunately the person who gave it to me has trouble even turning the computer on, never mind saving it in a different format. I just can't get her to do it. And of course, she "killed" her computer so I can't go over there to help her.

I know that there is data in the files she gave me, because when I read it's binary data, there is clear ASCII data interspersed with all the binary stuff.

Any help would be appreciated.
