Did you catch the NPR piece this evening about the guy (now retired in Thailand) who investigated the Votomatic (sp) punch-card system for the government nearly 20 years ago and recommended very strongly that it be abandoned?
Of course, his report was circulated and then ignored.
Also quite a few reports tonight about Texas elected officials claiming that hand-counting is far more accurate than the punch-card readers.
