Thanks Andrew,

I agree that RTF would be much simpler, not to mention the fact that it's a text-based rather than binary-based file format. The project I am working on requires generation of a DOC file. I am looking at Christophe's STRUCT stuff for binary manipulation stuff, as well as the whosit.org site for structure.
