>I can find any new comparisons that show the pros and cons of using VB 6 over VFP 6 or vice versa. I love VFP for its integrated database and speed. My boss wants VB because that's the buzz word in the development arena. I work for a school district that wants to place mainpulate about 40 Mb of data per school server for a new project. A co-worker is having trouble with Access because it seems to choke with different issues.

Search or Visual Basic. This topic comes up often. Also:

- fastest database engine
- good OOP implementation with inheritance (think RAD and reuse)
- good data manipulation language
- cheap to deploy (no need for expensive SQL licences)
- can put off move to SQL Server longer than with Access
