I'm not sure I completely understand your question but here's my answer. I have an image object on my form that is based on the image object from Espia's class library. To set the image I just have to set one of the ImageSource property of the object to the file I want displayed. I can also call a method of the image object that prompts the user with a dialog to find the right image on disk.

For my reports, I place an image on the report and for the file name, I enter esppimg(cIMAGE,1), where "cImage" contains the name of the file I want displayed.

I hope this answers your question.
