I got tired of methods that didn't "fire" when I wanted them to, so I just gave up, added more text boxes and buttons ! So the click event of the button calls my method or procedure!
Users often prefer the extra command buttons, they can review before committing their changes, AND less records need be locked .
My biggest Y2K problems were date fields that didn't have CONFIRM on, batch after batch created for 1920 !! or 2019 ! So those date fields became text boxes, and the button created the batch!
In this case, the text box is changing, and the change can call the method you desire!
