>>>FWIW, punch cards have the highest failure rate of all the voting methods in use. I forget the exact statistics, but there are several times more rejected ballots with punchcards than with any other kind of voting.

>>Certainly not higher than manually counting which employs divining and other really accurate methods. BTW, you did hear that a Florida Highway Trouper stopped a speeding car and discovered he had a Florida legislative member behind the wheel and a votamatic machine in the back seat. The counts were going to manual weren't they? I wonder how many bogus ballots he punched up for Gore?

>So he was a Florida democrat? or Republican?
A Dem. He had won the primary in a *SQUEEKER* and won election only by a recount in another *SQUEEKER*. Now he pops up with a votamatic and the county officials (Dem's) don't know how he got it and won't file charges. The votamatic 'disappeared' after being confiscated by the law. Smells down there, doesn't it, and it ain't the fish. Ah yes, those evil Republicans want to corrupt the election process, don't they.
