>Well, it never should have come to this, most of us on either side (or even the many of us in between like me, not particularly liking either candidate), would agree. At this unpleasant point though - after some reflection - I came to the conclusion that the judicial process, if it ends this debacle fairly quickly and decisively, is the best available current solution, and probably will lend the most validity and credibility to whomever wins, particularly if the court is unanimous. Under the circumstances, anyway.

At this point this seems reasonable. I imagine many are not falling down excited about either candidate. I find it a sad that we would feel the need to vote for the "lesser of the evils." :-)

>This is not to say that about 1/3 of the ardent folks on either side won't be up in arms for a long while no matter what the result, of course :) But it's really most critical that the 1/3 of our public near the middle, and the rest of the world, respects the result that matters most, IMO.

Ultimately there won't be a lot of choice ... the guy who gets in is in. :-) But I can also see how people might legitimately oppose whoever gets in because they don't agree with his philosophies/ideologies, etc. :-)

>Still need to work on universal voting, an electoral college fix, and media coverage improvements, but those are all for the next-time 'round.

Hopefully this will be addressed before the "next-time 'round." :-)
