>Pardon my old age and lose of memory. I have been using fopen(), and fclose() to open and read ini, log, etc. type files. I know that I read in FoxPro Advisor that there are new functions for opening and closing these types of files in VFP 6.0. For the life of me, I can't remember what the functions are.

I think they were referring to StrToFile() FileToStr(), which write and read an entire file to a variable in one step.
