I'm designing a new database for a notorious manager here. She's not so much a micromanager as a picomanager!! I can see sparks flying if she (who knows nothing about software development) starts trying to manage me and my team. I'm a hands-off manager. I like to have my team get on with their jobs and report back success or looming problems. I've got my own share of the work to do -- I can't go round holding their hands and get my part done!!
