Title:
Anonymous/Multiple Logins
To all,
Is there anyway to restrict anonymous/multiple logins on Windows 2000. I have already changed the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\LSA settting for RestrictAnonymous to 1. The problem is this, I have a computer that is acting as a "Server" in that it shares data to other peers on the network, but is running Windows 2000 Professional. No we only have 8 computers on the network, but I keep getting an error on our POS Software that is "Error Reading File." The error happens randomly, but frequently. After a little research, I noticed that some machines are opening multiple sessions on the server thus possibly maxing out the connections at 10. Now unless I'm looking at this wrong, this would kick other computers off, and they would loose data access. Now, we've looked into possible network problems like bad cables or hub or even problems with interference. But we have this problem at all of our clients who run Windows 2000, and more than 5 stations. We never had this problem with Windows 98.
Again, any help would be appreciated, and thank you in advance.
