Thanks for the tips. I will try SOUNDEX() on my next duplication scan. The method I had used was applicable to my duplication scans in Access since it does not have a reliable sound-a-like function. We also have programs that check for sound-a-like matches but they are very time consuming in their setup and routines. So far it looks like FoxPro will provide me with the solutions I am looking for including more flexibility.

This UT site has helped in searching for solutions. Searching in the messages has given me returns on topics but it seems I can't read the body text until I have signed up for the Premier Membership. I have now signed up an hopefully that will give me more reading material reflecting my searches.

It seems to me that most of the searches over the web regarding FoxPro would relate to program writing. Until I discovered UT yesterday I found it difficult to get answers or information on FoxPro functions and expressions.
