Well, I don't know how many Democratic governers there were then and how many of them got to speak. That would be an interesting question.

FWIW, this year, the Dems did a big thing about honoring Casey (who died within the last year). I thought it was kind of interesting, since as you noted, he'd been outside the mainstream of the party, at least on that issue.
