If you use some classes for controls for that form, such code might be in classes. To test all code lines running during the process of double clicking, just use coverage profiler for duration of your double click (you can switch it on in debugger).
I have no other suggestions. Maybe Cytrix client so slow that single form property setting works slowly (cannot beleive)? Which property you change? If it causes some screen refreshing, that may cause delay too.

>I checked and I only have code in the dblclick event. There is a single line of code in on the grid itself for Afterrowcolchange but it only sets a single form property and I have tried dblclick on the current row and column so as not to fire that event but it still happens. Any other suggestions?

The professional level of programmer could be determined by level of stupidity of his/her bugs

It is not appropriate to say that question is "foolish". There could be only foolish answers. Everybody passed period of time when knows nothing about something.
