Hi all!

I have inherited an old Fox 2.x program to support. The person who created it no longer works with our agency. In fact, he was an outside consultant. So we do not have the code for this program, nor any way to get to it. The only thing I am supposed to do is furnish new data to the tables each year.

This year, I was told that the users were no longer using this program. Instead, they were using Access to manipulate their data. Under pressure from other divisions to free up all available space on the drive where this program was, my supervisor directed me to delete the old program and its associated files. Guess what! It wasn't long before the users came back saying "Where's our program? We can't get by without it!" Apparently we had had a communication problem. When they told me they no longer used the old program, they thought they were saying they no longer used the old data.

So I retrieved network backups of everything, and restored the entire subdirectory. Here's where the problem is: Now, any time I try to use ethe program, an error message comes up: "Last file change date in error: xxxx.dbf". This isn't something I've been able to find a reference to, or have any idea on how to fix it. Any suggestions? Yes, I know, migrate it to VFP and leave some documentation for the next person! That will take time, and I'm looking for a short-term, more immediate fix.

Just thought I'd ask. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Kim
