I heard there was a huge bar fight while he was serving in the Guard, but he managed to slip out a back door and called his buddy Dan Quayle to pick him up. Too bad Dan did not know how to spell Alabama. Fortunately, George senior was able to send some of the hired help to go rescue him < g >.
