>I have a VFP program that is trying to paste RTF code (that is manipulated first by a program) into a instance of Word. I can paste the code okay, but it is interpreted as text and simply displays all the rtf codes. If I take the rtf text and copy it to the clipboard in word and do a paste special (and even chose RTF code) it still pastes it as text. My only alternative so far is to save the text string as a file and then do a file open in word which then sees the RTF codes correctly.

Bob,

I have personaly experienced what you are going through and to be honest there is a very good solution. The problem is is that MS-Word will not do the job. Any wordprocessor for that matter.
If you really want to do RTF you will need to use a more powerful tool. I came accross an add in the FoxAdvisor for Virtual Print Engine (www.idealsoftware.com). This is a very powerful engine but you need to harness its power. This program saved my projects because I need to merge hundreds of RTF phrases into one document. This is the only program I know that can do it efficiently and fast.

I can give you an example of what we do so you can check if this is tool suitable for you.
