A reporter has one of the board recorded on tape from the canvassor meeting just before the "stop" decision was made, and the member indicated that the demonstrators were "a factor." Not necessarily that any physical threat was perceived, but that the counting process would be more difficult to complete on time...so IMO the demonstration had at least a partial impact.
