>Okay, quick question for anyone who wouldn't mind helping out a very frustrated programmer. I'm designing a database which needs to store a picture with each record in the table. I've tried several ways, both linking and embedding the picture to/in the general field.
>A) Gif's and JPG's don't show up- they're generic icons with captions.
>2) BMP's display, but they are icons, not full size to the screen. I set the stretch options properly, but still no progress. I've tried linking it programatically to an image box, and tried using OLE bound controls. Nothing. If anyone has the slightest clue what I'm doing wrong, please let me know. Off the top of my head did you placed content with 'Display as icon' selected ? For jpg and gif you might not have server allowing in palce activation (like me - I have no viewers for jpg and gif other than IE installed).
For programmatically assigning to an image control I wonder how you do it. First you should place a copy of content to a file as far as I know.
If you don't have a good reason do not embed or link to a general field but instead keep filenames in a field. Then you could just change picture property of an image control.
