I cannot use ANETRESOURCES(), i am using DCOM to connect to a remote COM+ Server with Creatobject(), this operation doesn't involve any shares on the network.

>You might try ANETRESOURCES(). I'm sure there is an API function to check the network. Ed Rauh or George Tasker would know the best one to use.
