Zlatko,

The printer commands are pretty radically different. If you don't have the manuals for both printers to look up the commands you might try the Epson and HP websites to see if they are available online. HP did have a really good Developer program where you could get PCL reference manuals. I don't know if it still exists.

I'm sure a few web searchs would turn up some online references.

>I have to make some corrections to a FPD 2.6 application, which runs several years with no problems using an EPSON matrix printer. It's no sense to rewrite the whole app in VFP since the user has changed the printer with a HP DeskJet Printer.

>So - I only have to correct reports, what isn't big deal, but there is a lot of ESC sequences in reports which I want to change to a similar sequence with HP commands.
>Well, my first question is: Where can I get some documentation about ESC sequence on HP Desk- and Laserjets?

>And, the most problematical is that I need 20 CPI font (however, the matrix EPSON can do it) and I'm not sure that I can make it on HP.
>Actually - I need the sequences for 10 CPI, 12 CPI, 17 CPI (10 CPI +condensed) and 20 CPI (12 CPI condensed). And I also need sequences for bold, underline, double height and double weight.
