I think you missed a few quarters of play. At the end of the game Bush had more points so Gore LOST, it was not a tie. Gore's response was that he was the winner because he had more total yards and the score really did not matter. But the rules said that because it was so close he could request the game be played again. At the end of that time frame he LOST again. He then got the refs to extend the second game and he gets to start on his twenty while the other team can only play no touch defense. He LOST again. Now he wants to start all over.
