I haven't had any problems with Win2000. In fact, things seem to run better since switching from NT. However, before you decide to upgrade make sure your other software is compatible.

I concur with Charlie. I like the way VFP & Win2000 run. But he should definitely check on software and drivers compatibility as not everything that runs on Win98/Win98/WinME runs on Win2000. As an example, my local Baby Bell hasn't released a Win2000 ADSL driver yet!
