Well, I should use a <g> or something to indicate humor (but concern).

December 25th would be a good day for a war to start as we will have other thoughts on our minds - like how many presents will we get, how much we can eat and drink and oh yes there will be a few of us who go to church to celebrate the birth of Christ. In any event we will be off guard and it seems like a nice slap in the face for the United States - that nation that is "Under God".

When I was in the United States Air Force, we had a command referred to as SAC (Strategic Air Command). They flew 24 hours a day along the Russian border ready to drop nuclear bombs should that be necessary. The concept was to keep pressure on Russia to reduce the possibility of them attacking us. Everything was aimed at the Russians attacking us and our retaliating against them. Then the funding for the military was reduced by congress and the Air Force did something interesting. New concepts were introduced than included our being attacked by many different countries. Now who do you retaliate against? A ten ton nuclear device would fit very nicely in a small van which could be parked in downtown New York. It would kill at least 10 million persons and now what do you do? Retaliatory strike does not work So far prayer has helped and it costs nothing except time from the individual.
