Thanks for your answer Alex. What I mean by seemingly fully commited is that I traced the code and it reached END TRANSACTION with sucess all the way through. Yet no record is added to the underlying table. Even though the Save and Cancel buttons become invisible the navigation toolbar remains with the buttons dimmed.

What could be happening?
